August 24 Connect Ed

Don't miss this week's message from Mr. W!
Natalie Grady

Good evening, Giraffe Nation. This is Mr. W, Principal of Jesse Wharton Elementary School, with some important reminders for the upcoming week!

First, it was great to welcome so many of our students and families during Open House last Thursday evening! We are looking forward to having a great school year here at Giraffe Nation!!

The first day of school is Monday, August 25th

Please take some time and review with your student how they are getting home from school on the first day and then every day afterward so we can make sure we have a smooth first day. Also, please be mindful there will be a lot of traffic the first few days until we get back into a routine. Please be patient as we work to get every running smoothly. If you choose to park and walk your student into the building for the first few days, be sure to park in one of the two parking areas and not in the front circle or anywhere blocking the car rider line.

Students who did not receive a class placement should go to front office first thing in the morning!

Kindergarten parents, please be sure to submit your student’s health assessment information. All Kindergarten students are required to provide health assessment and immunization information by the 30th day of school for the 2025-2026 school year.
